Setting up Instagram Auto-DM

Connect Instagram

1. Open Auto-DM and click Connect Instagram.
2. Log in to Instagram (first time only), turn on all permissions and click Allow.
3. Your account now shows as connected. You can disconnect it at any time.

Create an automation

1. Click New automation (top right).
2. Choose the trigger: comments on a post or reel, direct messages, or story replies.
3. Name the automation, and choose any comment or a keyword — for example “help”.
4. Choose the link to send, and optionally reply to the comment publicly.
5. Write the DM message, switch the automation to Active and click Create automation.

Anyone who comments your keyword now gets your link in their DMs automatically. Create as many automations as you like — DM keyword triggers work the same way.

Turn on AI replies

1. Switch on AI replies.
2. Describe your skills and services in detail.
3. Add your storefront link (or any link you want customers to visit) and click Save.
